Since 2007 the Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival also known as PapJazz for regulars has been held every year in January in Port au Prince.
Usually taking place over a week, this non-profit festival organised by the Haitian Ministry of Culture and Tourism aims to promote Jazz music and especially Creole jazz. Artists such as Yilian Canizares or Jacques Schwarz-Bart have been headlining the 2019 edition. A festival where nearly 17 territories are represented: the United States, Switzerland, Guadeloupe, Cuba, Jamaica, France open to all lovers of culture and music, a festival rich in sound, an Haitian Festival.
