During April, the yearly Rara Festival is held in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. For a week-long festival features parades with traditional Haitian-style and Afro-Caribbean music. The festival is full of different groups singing and dancing together to the rhythm of percussion instruments and homemade bamboo style trumpets.
It also celebrates the strength and unity of Haitian people.
